Have you ever wondered where the pictures go after someone uses your HootBoard PhotoBooth app on your Kiosk? They are all sent to a special management app called the Selfie Wall.
This article explains how to set it up and manage all the great photos your users take.
Step 1: Install the Selfie Wall App
First, you need to add the Selfie Wall app to your board. This is where all PhotoBooth pictures are stored and managed.
- From your HootBoard admin, go to Apps and Integrations.
- Click on Discover Apps to see the app marketplace.
- Search for "Selfie Wall" and click the Install button.
Step 2: How to Approve Your Selfies
Once installed, you can open the Selfie Wall app from your board. Inside, you will see two main areas:
- Selfie Wall Tab: This is the public gallery where all approved photos appear for everyone to see.
- Selfie Approval Tab: (Visible to Admins only) This is your private moderation area where all new, unapproved photos are waiting for your review.
To manually approve a photo:
- Open the Selfie Wall app and click on the Selfie Approval tab.
- You will see all the photos waiting for review. Find a photo you want to display.
- Click the Add to Selfie Wall button located on the top-right corner of that photo.
The photo will immediately be approved and moved to the public Selfie Wall tab for everyone to enjoy!
Optional: How to Auto-Approve All Selfies
If you don't want to approve every photo by hand and trust your users, you can set the PhotoBooth to approve all selfies automatically.
- Go to Apps & Integrations.
- Find Photobooth by HootBoard in your list of installed apps and click Manage.
- In the settings menu, go to the Customizations tab.
- Find the Selfie Auto Approval option and switch the toggle to ON.
- Remember to click Save Changes.
Now, all new photos taken with the Photobooth will skip the approval step and appear directly on the Selfie Wall.
