How to Set Your HootBoard Location

Add a geographic location to your HootBoard to help users understand the physical area or community your board serves. 

Accessing Location Settings

1. Log in to your HootBoard admin area
2. Navigate to Admin Menu > Settings > Info
3. Select the Location tab

 

Setting Your Board Location

Selecting a Location

1. Location Dropdown: Click on the location dropdown menu
2. Search Function: Start typing the name of your desired location
   • The dropdown is powered by Google's location database
   • Suggestions will appear as you type
3. Choose from Results: Select the most accurate location from the suggested results

4. Save Changes: Click the Save Changes button to apply your selection

Managing Your Location

Changing Your Location:

1. Return to the Location tab in board settings
2. Click the location dropdown again
3. Search for and select a new location
4. Click Save Changes to update
