Trying out HootBoard interactive kiosks locally on your PC is easy. Just follow all steps below to create a HootBoard specific to your organization and do a one-month free trial. Alternatively, jump to steps 3 & 4 to try out test boards that are created for a variety of uses.
Testing HootBoard locally is one of the best ways to get a feel of how the platform works and you will have a way to demo it to your other decisionmakers.
- Create a HootBoard for your organization:

Use the above link to create the HootBoard for your organization. It will require you to signup for your personal account and put you on as an admin. - Setup your HootBoard

Watch the above video to see how the kiosk can be set up. Once you have done the basic setup, you will have to start a trial to get your screen id. Do do this, you can go to Admin > Manage Screens and follow the prompts.
The screen id you create here will expire with each use, so you will just have to delete and create another one if you delete your simulator app or change screen id. - Download the windows local simulator. Test your screen id.

Open the above folder and download the Windows Local Simulator. There is also an instruction file for installation and changing screen-ids for - Test other boards.
Follow instructions in the simulator installation document and use various screen ids. Please note, these screen ids in the demo documents don't expire but the one on your account will. Demo board screen-ids are available here.
