Introduction
Introducing the dynamic Screen Sequence, where you have the flexibility to assign collections, hoots, or apps to sequences and schedule them across multiple screens for specific dates.
This feature enables a captivating screen slideshow with various layouts, including 2 zones and 3 zones.
You can seamlessly allocate different content types such as hoots, apps, videos, and custom URLs for each minute, creating a loop that plays in the specified order on your Digital/Interactive Devices.
Types of Screen Sequence

Portrait Sequence: Tailored for portrait screens, offering optimized layouts and tailored zones suitable for vertical displays.

Landscape Sequence: Designed for landscape screens, providing layouts and zones tailored to horizontal displays.
Note: In Interactive kiosks, these sequences will play only during idle periods, while in digital signage, they will continuously play on loop.
Creating a Screen Sequence
- Visit Hootboard.com and sign in to your account.
- Once logged in, navigate to the admin panel and click on the "Screen Sequence" tab to initiate the sequence creation process.
3.1. Screen Sequence Basic Setup
- In the All Sequence sub-page, click the "New Sequence" button.
- Provide sequence details such as name and description.
- Select the orientation based on your physical screens and proceed.
3.2. Overview of Screen Sequence Slot Structure
The entire sequence functions within a 4-minute loop, offering a dynamic and engaging display.

Crossed-out Slots:
- These slots are designated as Hootboard attractor loops, unavailable for administrators to modify.

Big 2 Blue Slots:
- These sizable, blue-highlighted slots are exclusively for administrators to assign content. Admins have the flexibility to curate and manage the primary content within the sequence.

Last 5 Small Slots:
- The final five smaller slots are dedicated to Ads or organizational promotions. These slots offer a valuable opportunity to showcase specific advertisements or promotional content in the latter part of the loop.
3.3. Assigning Content to Each Slot
- Click on the slots to begin.
- Consider the introduced split screens functionality and pick a layout that suits your preferences.
- Click on the "Assign Content" icon within your chosen layout. This action opens a popup for content assignment.

In the popup, choose the type of content you want to assign to the slot. Options include,
- Hoots from your Hootboard.
- Apps from your Hootboard.
- Set a custom URL.
- Upload a creative from your device.
- Take a moment to review how the assigned content looks in the slot. Ensure it aligns with your intended display and click Finalize.
- Repeat these steps for all the slots you want to fill in your sequence. Once done, save the sequence.
- The created sequence will now be visible on the All Sequence page.
Assign Sequence to Screens
- Go to Manage Screens to view the list of all screens you created on your Hootboard.
- Choose the sequence and assign it to the required screen using the "Assign Content" dropdown menu.
Default Sequence
- In the All Sequence tab, you'll find a list of all the sequences you've created.
- By default, the first sequence you create is marked as the default sequence.
- This default sequence ensures that even when specific content isn't assigned to your screens, they will play this default sequence instead of displaying a blank page.
- You can mark other sequences as default by using the three-dot options icon next to the desired sequence.
- Click on "Mark as Default" to designate the selected sequence as the default one.
- This customization allows you to control which sequence plays by default on your screens, enhancing your ability to manage displayed content.
