HootBoard screens are created to meet the most stringent touch screen kiosk specifications for reliability and endurance. All "HootBoard" or "powered by HootBoard" branded screens have the following minimum specifications that manufacturers have to meet.
- Top manufacturer (LG, Samsung or similar) LED/LCD back panel to meet HD specifications
- Capacitive touch (PCAP) multipoint touch screen panels.
- Intel i5 or higher processor
- 8 GB RAM or higher.
- 128GB SSD or higher.
Some HootBoard based applications might need higher processing specifications so please check with your sales consultant for compatibility.
HootBoard OS and Apps can run on most x86 based computers, and HootBoard does a Windows Apps layer in case customers have prior hardware.

HootBoard screens are rated for 50,000 hours which is equivalent to about 5 years. Touchscreens have come a long way in the last few years and are now very responsive and reliable.
Where are HootBoard screens made?
HootBoard screens are assembled in China however various parts are manufactured in different countries using a global supply chain as with any major electronics today.
What is the warranty for HootBoard screens? Can it be extended?
1 Year. Additional 2 years of warranty can be purchased for an additional fee.
Who covers breakage and how can it be fixed?
We recommend all our customers to add their screens to their insurance policy. HootBoard has a network of agents who can come out to test and provide advice on whether the screens are fixable in case of warranty or breakage.
