Safety Information
⚠️ Safety First: Important Safety Guidelines:
- HootBoard Kiosks are heavy. For indoor screens minimum of 2 people will be required.
- Use proper lifting techniques - the kiosk assembly is heavy. Professional install recommended.
- Always work on a clean, flat surface
- Ensure all electrical connections are made with power OFF
- Keep small parts away from children
- Wear safety glasses when drilling or using tools

Stand Assembly
Step 1: Prepare the Base
- Place the base platform on a flat, level surface
- Ensure the surface can support the total weight (approximately 45kg when fully assembled)
- If permanent installation is required, mark drilling points for floor anchors
Step 2: Install Vertical Posts
- Locate the two mounting points on the base platform
- Insert the vertical support posts (685mm each) into the base mounting sockets
- Secure with M8 bolts and washers
- Torque specification: 15-20 Nm
- Check posts are plumb using a level
Step 3: Install Horizontal Mounting Brackets
- Position the horizontal mounting brackets at the designated height marks on the vertical posts
- The main mounting bracket should be positioned to accommodate the VESA mounting plate
- Secure brackets with M6 screws
- Ensure brackets are level and properly aligned
Step 4: Test Stand Stability
- Gently shake the assembled stand to check for any loose connections
- Verify all bolts are properly tightened
- Confirm the stand is stable and ready for VESA plate installation
VESA Plate Installation
Step 1: Prepare the VESA Mounting Plate
- Remove the VESA mounting plate from packaging
- Check the mounting pattern matches your kiosk's rear mounting points
- Verify all mounting holes are clear of debris
Step 2: Mount VESA Plate to Stand
- Position the VESA mounting plate on the horizontal mounting brackets
- Align the plate to ensure it's centered and level
- Mark the mounting holes on the brackets
- Secure the VESA plate to the brackets using M6 mounting screws
- Torque specification: 10-15 Nm
- Double-check the plate is secure and level
Step 3: Test VESA Plate Alignment
- Use a level to verify the VESA plate is perfectly vertical
- Check that all mounting points are accessible
- Ensure the plate can support the kiosk weight
Kiosk Installation
Step 1: Prepare the Kiosk Unit
- Carefully remove the fully assembled kiosk from its packaging
- Check for any shipping damage
- Locate the VESA mounting points on the rear of the kiosk
- Remove any protective film from the screen and surfaces
- Ensure power cable is accessible
Step 2: Mount Kiosk to VESA Plate
- IMPORTANT: This step requires two people for safety
- Lift the kiosk unit and position it in front of the VESA plate
- Align the kiosk's rear mounting points with the VESA plate holes
- Insert VESA mounting bolts through the kiosk into the plate
- Hand-tighten all bolts first, then use appropriate tools to secure
- Torque specification: Follow kiosk manufacturer's recommendations
- Ensure the kiosk is firmly attached and cannot move
Step 3: Cable Management and Power Connection
- Route the power cable through the stand's cable management system
- Secure cables with provided cable ties to prevent tangling
- Ensure no cables are pinched or under tension
- Connect power cable to appropriate electrical outlet
- Verify proper grounding connection
Step 4: Test Installation
- WARNING: Ensure main power is OFF before making connections
- Turn on the main power
- Verify the kiosk powers up correctly
- Test all interface functions
- Check that the display is properly oriented and functional
- Confirm the unit is stable and secure on the stand
Final Setup
Step 1: System Testing
- Power on the kiosk system
- Verify all functions operate correctly
- Test touch screen responsiveness (if applicable)
Step 2: Positioning and Calibration
- Adjust kiosk height if the stand allows for adjustment
- Ensure the screen is at optimal viewing angle
Step 3: Final Inspection
- Clean all surfaces with appropriate cleaners
- Check that all mounting hardware is secure
- Verify cable management is neat and professional
- Test system stability by gently pressing on kiosk
- Document installation date and settings
