The Screen Standby feature helps you conserve energy and extend the life of all your HootBoard screens. It allows you to schedule specific times for your screens to enter a standby mode and when to automatically wake up.
When in standby, the Screen Standby keeps your app running, but it will dim and show a grey screen to conserve energy and extend screen life. All content, including slideshows and ads, will be paused during this time.
Accessing Screen Standby
You can configure standby times for each screen individually from your board's admin settings.
- Login to your HootBoard account.
- Navigate to the Admin Menu -> Screens -> Your Screen IDs in your HootBoard.
- Find the screen you wish to configure and click on the Edit button.
- Click on the Device Management tab.
Configuring Standby Times
Inside the screen settings, you will find the options for Screen Standby.
NOTE: The standby schedule uses the device's local timezone. Please ensure the configuration is set up accordingly.

To use the feature, you must first enable it:
- Locate the Screen Standby toggle for the day.

Once the feature is enabled, you can set your desired schedule:
