Setting up and updating Screen Location

The location of the Screen as defined in the Screen ID drives a host of features on your HootBoard kiosk. The Location ID is automatically used to set the following (not a comprehensive list):

• Screen TimeZone and Clock
• Weather Widgets
• Cityguide Location (Where you are)
• Transit and directions
• Events and Experiences

In addition to the above, the location may be passed to various apps and services for advanced features on those specific apps. Also expect HootBoard AI to use the location to provide location specific recommendations. Needless to say, the location is quite important. 

As part of the creation of the Screen ID, a location will be requested. Provide as accurate a location as possible and use the mouse pointer where available, to provide internal location to where the kiosk will be installed. 

 

Please note that the RED location pin is moveable, and the map can be zoomed in to allow you to exactly pinpoint where the kiosk will be positioned.
