How to Manage Locations for Your Hootboard

Setting the correct location for your board and individual screens is essential for displaying relevant content. HootBoard provides two levels of location settings: a general location for your entire board and specific locations for each screen.

 

Setting Your Board's General Location

This sets a default location for your entire HootBoard.

1. From your dashboard, navigate to Settings.
2. Select the Info menu.
3. Select the Location tab and enter your primary address or city.
4. Click Save Changes.

Setting a Location for an Individual Screen

If you have screens in different physical locations (e.g., different offices or cities), you can set a unique location for each one. This location will be used by HootBoard Apps like CityGuide, Experiences, PhotoBooth etc. where the content is directly relevant to the the location where screen is placed in.

1. Navigate to the Screens section from the admin menu.
2. Find the screen you wish to update and click the Edit button next to it.
3. In the screen settings tabs, select Location.
4. Enter the specific address or city for only this screen.
5. Click Save to apply the changes.
