Screen Type - If you are using it for digital signage with a TV, select static.
Show Private Posts - This is Yes by default. This means it will show all private and public posts that match your "Show Posts from a Collection" setting above. This is an advanced feature if you are using a combination of public and private posts on your board. Read more about hoot visibility here.
Show Community Code - This will show the community code on the bottom ticker and the board information page (if enabled). This is a good way to encourage people on how to sign up and get posting access using the community code. There is no need to use this feature if you aren't using with web/mobile or don't want anyone who joins to use the code to get access level.
Show board information - This shows a slide with basic information from about your HootBoard as seen below. The Board Name, logo and description data are pulled from the fields on Manage Board -> Board Info tab and. You can also change the background and make a short URL.. Refer to this article on how to change some of these settings.
Show poster name - This shows who posted the hoot on the digital displays as shown below. This feature is great to use if you want people to know who added the content to the displays. If there is only one person posting you probably don't need to enable this setting. Here's a screenshot of what it looks like:
Prompt members to join on mobile - This shows a dedicated slide with instructions on how to join your board on the mobile app. Enable this if you would like to try engagement from the TV to HootBoard on the web/mobile Also, make sure to create a Short URL for your board. Here's what it looks like:
