If you're seeing a message that says you haven't validated your email address while logging in or any of the UI elements shown below while logged in, please read on.
Why am I seeing this?
When you create a HootBoard or Join a HootBoard for the very first time, you'll be creating a personal account as well in the process, at the moment this personal account is based on your email address, you'll need to verify this email before you can login again.
How do I validate my Email?
When your account is successfully created, you'll receive an email asking you to verify your email address. This email has the following subject line "Last Step - Activate your account", in case you want to search for it.
Once you open the email you'll find the following button.
You can click on it and get your email verified. Once verified, you should see the below screen
You can click on Get Started to continue enjoying your HootBoard.
How do I re-send the activation email?
If you were trying to log into HootBoard and were seeing this error, you should most likely see a link to re-send the activation email as shown below. You can just click on it and you should receive the activation email in a few seconds.
If you're already logged in and are seeing the blue banner or the warning in the header, you'll need to either logout or head to https://www.hootboard.com/login in an incognito or private session window, and try to log in and you should see the error shown above and also the link to resend the activation email.
